Our
story.
Crustys Quarry is owned and operated by Scott Camerlo - a lifelong diver who has spent over four decades in the water across Western Pennsylvania.
Four decades
in the water.
Scott started diving in 1977 and turned it into his full-time career in 1979 - and it has been his life's work in Western Pennsylvania ever since. Along the way he has earned titles including Master Instructor, Master Repair Technician, Commercial Diver, and US Coast Guard Master Captain, among many others.
In 1992 he opened Scott's Scuba Service in Freeport, PA - a PADI 5-Star IDC facility that has ranked in the top 10% since the 1990s. Scott owned and operated it through 2018.
The Camerlos purchased and opened Crustys Quarry in 1999, running it as a private training facility for two decades. In 2019, Scott opened Crustys commercially to the wider diving community - and that's who we are today.
He's joined in the water by his daughter Morgan, also a PADI Instructor.
